UNIVERSITY PARK, CENTRE COUNTY – Penn State announced Wednesday an opportunity for recent graduated to purchase season football tickets at a reduced price.
The Recent Graduate program gives Penn Staters who earned an undergraduate degree from 2010-14 the opportunity to purchase up to two season tickets for $300 per ticket for the seven-game home schedule this fall. The cost includes a $50 donation to the Nittany Lion Club and is a savings of 35 percent from the regular $460 season ticket price ($360 + $100 NLC donation).
A total of 2,500 seats will be made available for the Recent Graduate program on a first-come, first-served basis for James Franklin’s inaugural season as head coach. The seats will be located in the North Upper Deck, in Sections NAU-NLU.
Penn State graduates from 2010-14 can purchase season tickets at the reduced rate starting on Thursday, Jan. 30 at 10 a.m. by calling 1-800-NITTANY. After Thursday, orders can be placed weekdays from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. by calling 1-800-NITTANY.
During the 2013 season, Penn State’s loyal and passionate fans kept the Nittany Lions ranked in the top 5 nationally in average home attendance for the 23rd consecutive season. Penn State fans boosted the overall attendance for the Nittany Lions’ four Big Ten home games this past season by 10,573 from 2012, an average of 2,643 per game.
Season ticket renewals are underway online and Nittany Lion Club members are reminded that the deadline for donations is February 1. There again was no increase in season tickets prices for Penn State football for the 2014 season. New season tickets are available by calling 1-800-NITTANY, weekdays from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
