UNIVERSITY PARK, CENTRE COUNTY - Hackers have gained access to a Penn State online program.

The university says the commercial website has been taking and using confidential information from Penn State students, faculty and staff to gain access to the "ANGEL" system.

Officials say this hacking could compromise the privacy of student, faculty and staff information. The university says those affected will receive an email from Penn State requiring a change of password by February 17th.
