PA Shelter Opens for Immigrants

EMSWORTH, ALLEGHENY COUNTY - The Federal Government has approved a shelter in Pennsylvania for children picked up for illegally crossing the border.

Holy Family Institute will assist children as young as 5 and 6 years old who have fled poverty stricken and gang infested Central America. 

Members of the group say they feel obligated to give the kids at least temporary shelter.  Some 20 Central American refugees, all under the age of 12 will stay at the institute an average of two months while they await a deportation hearing at immigration court.
