One Arrested in Drug Bust at Hotel

STATE COLLEGE, CENTRE COUNTY – A 25-year-old Philadelphia man was arrested in a State College hotel room Thursday after a controlled heroin purchase and search of his room by the Centre County Drug Task Force.

A search warrant was executed for Samuel Darius Woodlyn's room at the Imperial Inn on South Atherton Street after agents purchased heroin from him. Authorities executed the warrant as the culmination of an ongoing investigation into heroin distribution in Centre County. During the execution of the warrant, Woodlyn is suspected of flushing heroin down the toilet.

The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are forthcoming. Woodlyn has been charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin, Delivery of a Controlled Substance, and Criminal Use of a Communications Facility. He is in the Centre County Prison on $50,000 cash bail.

The Attorney General’s Office, Bureau of Narcotics Investigation, Centre County District Attorney’s Office, Ferguson Township Police Department, State College Borough Police Department, and Patton Township Police Department all participated in the investigation.
