BIGLER TOWNSHIP, CLEARFIELD COUNTY – The old Madera High School building was demolished Thursday.

The building was acquired by the township around 10 years ago. Initial plans were to have the building restored and remodeled, but due to many break-ins and vandalism the township decided to tear down the building.

“We just figured it was time now to destroy the building before somebody would get hurt and make the town look a lot better,” said Bigler Township Supervisor Randall Mick.

The township is now looking for more donations to further expand the park.
