Officer accused of DUI back in court

Hollidaysburg, Blair County Pa. - An officer with the Altoona Police Department who's been accused of driving under the influence will be in court today.


Officials say Eric Stirk was off duty when he was pulled over in June for erratic driving. 


He was stopped along the 700 block of 6th Avenue in Altoona and taken into custody when police suspected he had been drinking.


His blood alcohol level was allegedly measured at more than double the legal limit.


Stirk has applied for  for ARD which is an accelerated rehabilitative program for first time offenders. 


His hearing about that application is set to begin at 10:30 this morning.
