New GM Fires Bylsma

PITTSBURGH - Penguins have a new General Manager.

The Pens have hired Jim Rutherford.

Rutherford is most known for spending 20 consecutive seasons as GM of the Carolina Hurricanes and leading them to a Stanley Cup in 2006.

He stepped down in Carolina earlier this spring.

He replaces Ray Shero who was fired after 8 seasons with the Pens.

Rutherford to immediate action and fired Penguins Head Coach Dan Bylsma.
