WASHINGTON, D.C – The Food and Drug Administration has issued another warning about jerky pet treats imported from China.

The FDA reports around 1,800 new cases of pet illnesses have been reported since their last warning in October 2013. The agency says the majority of the jerky treats were from China, with flavors that include chicken, duck and sweet potato.

In all, the FDA reports a total of about 4,800 complaints and 1,000 dog deaths.

The FDA is continuing their investigation to find out what exactly is causing the illnesses.
