ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – Trump Entertainment and Resorts has announced their Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino will close its doors in September, putting around 1,000 people out of work.

This marks the fourth casino in the city to close in 2014. Analysts blame stiff competition from casinos in New York, Pennsylvania and other northeastern states.

Other than the name, the casino has no connection to billionaire Donald Trump.
