Missing persons investigation continues

Portage, Cambria County, Pa - Pennsylvania State Police are continuing their investigation into a missing persons case.

State Police say that 32 year-old James Smith of Portage and 19 year-old Damian Staniszewski  of Duncansville are linked in this missing persons case.

They're looking for the public's help in locating both men.

State Police are working with departments from Blair County, Cambria County, and Somerset County on this case.

They say both Smith and Stanizewski were last seen together at Smith's home in Cambria County on March 26th.

Two days later,  the 19 year-old's vehicle was found abandoned along Somerset Pike in Somerset County.

Police said both men are missing under suspicious circumstances.

Cambria County District Attorney Kelly Callihan says it was important for State Police to lead the investigation.

"One of the biggest decisions was going to be what agency is going to take over and as I said State Police as the likely most efficient way because state police have jurisdiction in all three counties."

Police are asking if anyone has information to call 911 or Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers.

There is a cash reward in this case.
