Meeting Planned for Blair County Road Project

HOLLIDAYSBURG, BLAIR COUNTY – PennDOT will hold an open house March 13th for the public to learn about the proposed Route 36, I-99 to Bedford County Line project in Blair, Taylor and Freedom Townships and Roaring Spring Borough in Blair County.

The project will include a mill and overlay on Route 36, from East Freedom Interchange to the Bedford County Line, and concrete patching and diamond grinding on Route 164.

The entire project will include signal, drainage and guiderail upgrades along with a superstructure rehabilitation. During work on the Route 36 bridge over Halter Creek a detour will be implemented for Route 2007 (Reservoir Road).

The plans display will introduce the project and allow the public an opportunity to review and comment on the proposed project and traffic control, as well as comment on potential environmental and community effects. Anyone with knowledge of historic resources in the project area should attend this meeting. Representatives from PennDOT will be available to answer questions and receive input on the project.

The meeting will be held in an open house format on Thursday, Mar. 13 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the PennDOT District 9-0 Building, 1620 North Juniata Street, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648
