Clearfield ? Bridge repair work will close Route 1002 (Marsh Creek Road) near the village of Blanchard in Centre County, starting Monday, June 14.
The road will be closed at the intersection with Route 150 near Blanchard starting at 6am on Monday. PennDOT expects the closure to be in place for about two weeks. A detour using Route 150 and Route 1001(Howard Divide Road) will be in effect.
PennDOT Centre County Maintenance forces will work to replace the deck beams on the bridge. PennDOT expects to remove the 3-ton posting once the repairs are complete. The bridge spans Marsh Creek on Route 1002 near Blanchard. All work is weather dependent.
Drivers are reminded to obey posted speed limits and detour signs and to always buckle up.
PennDOT also reminds motorists they can log on to 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions before heading out.
