BELLEFONTE, CENTRE COUNTY – A 32-year-old man convicted of pointing a gun at a police officer in 2013 will be sentenced Thursday.

Ferguson Township Police were called to a home on Zorich Road in September 2013.

When they arrived, James Scholl answered the door and pointed a handgun at one of the officers. Police say they had to wrestle the gun away from him.

Scholl was found guilty of assault and making threats in March 2014.
