JOHNSTOWN, CAMBRIA COUNTY - Albert Baldish Senior was sentenced 35-70 years in jail for sexually abusing a child.

On Thursday the victim told the judge she struggles every day.  The 51 year old was arrested and charged in 2012.  He started to abuse the victim at the age of six and it continued for about ten years.  The judge told Baldish during his sentencing his actions were despicable and he was appalled by them.

Baldish was found guilty on 51 counts of rape, involuntarily deviate sexual intercourse as well as several others.

“I’m going to appeal,” Baldish told the media.  “She’s a pathological liar.”

“He is 51 years old now, by the time he fulfills his minimum sentenced he will be 85,” said Beth Bolton Penna.  “He can deny this all he wants, but the jury has spoken.”

“We knew it would be a lengthy sentenced because he was convicted of so many counts,” said Ryan Gleason, Chief Public Defender.

Gleason said he is going to look into appeal options.

Baldish was ordered to pay costs and fines.
