Man appealing prison sentence for shooting dog

BELLEFONTE, CENTRE COUNTY – A 58-year-old man facing prison time for shooting and killing his dog is appealing his case.

Barry Grove is currently facing 5-10 years in prison for a weapons violation in connection to the shooting. He is asking for a new trial and bail.

Grove was found guilty in February after being found guilty of Illegal Possession of a Firearm. Sentencing is currently set for March 14th.
