EBENSBURG, CAMBRIA COUNTY – The man accused of assaulting a Wal-Mart security guard in May waived his charges Monday and will face trial later this year.

According to police, Jeremiah Irwin and his pregnant girlfriend Rachel Jones were stealing from the Richland Township Wal-Mart in May. When the guard attempted to stop them, Irwin allegedly attacked the guard and took off.

Police say the pair also left two small kids in the car during the theft.
