ALTOONA, BLAIR COUNTY - Officials say the Pennsylvania Lottery lives up to its promises.

Steve Williamson is the president of Blair Senior Services. He says the money they get from the PA Lottery is critical and provides millions of dollars to their budget. He says it funds about in whole or in part 2/3rds of their services including home delivered meals, congregate meals, shared ride transportation, in home services, personal care, and adult day care.

Sabby Pierannunzio likes the services at the Blair Senior Center. She goes their everyday; she takes dance and aerobics lessons, plays bingo, and sometimes uses the transportation system. And she says it would be hard on seniors like her without the funding for those programs because then they would be stuck at home.

Williamson says they reach three to four thousand seniors each year. And without the lottery money, they wouldn't.
