Local Politician Encourages Crime Watch Programs

A local politician is encouraging communities to take back their streets.

Tonight State Rep. Frank Burns is holding one of two meetings. Tonight's will be at the Portage Volunteer Fire Hall, and tomorrow's will be at the Lower Yoder Fire Department. Both meetings will start at 7 p.m.

The goal of the meetings is to show residents how to start up crime watch programs in their communities in an effort to decrease crime in the area.
