JOHNSTOWN, CAMBRIA COUNTY – Former Democratic congressman and current candidate for lieutenant governor Mark Critz hosted an open house at his Johnstown headquarters Thursday evening.

Critz is one of seven democrats running for lieutenant governor. Also running is former Penn State assistant football coach Jay Paterno.

Critz says there is strong support showing in recent polls in southwestern and central Pennsylvania.

“I think at the end of the day democrats have to win,” said Critz. “This is a very important election in November when you’re talking about democratic principles; about taking care of our children and their education. When you’re talking about working families and livable wages, and to make sure that people can work, live the American dream and then hopefully retire with dignity.”
