PUNXSUTAWNEY, JEFFERSON COUNTY - There are 6 less days between Thanksgiving and Christmas this year. Some box stores do not allow Salvation Army Red Kettle Ringers outside of their stores until after Thanksgiving.

This has caused some concern for the non-profit. Plus, in years past they have been able to start ringing at midnight on Black Friday. Most of the time people are waiting in line, but with stores opening early this year they worry less people will be passing their kettles.

They say they are still hopeful they will be able to raise the money they need for the year.
