With hundreds of people accessing the pools to cool off, the money they pay to get in, starts to add up and help keep the pool running all summer long.

"It definitely pays for a good majority of it," says Stephen Boris, the manager at Welsh's pool in State College.

It costs $7 per person for a day pass to the pool.  That money can add up for people who want to go every day.  Some of the people, like Frank Zaffino, bought season passes.

"In about a week it pays [for itself]," says Zaffino.  "We have two children so I have a pass, they have passes.  Seven-dollars admissions daily adds up so it does pay for itself pretty quickly."
