In this Hometown Hero segment, we catch up with a local veteran who was recognized Wednesday night on the ice, during a Pittsburgh Penguins game. This is Jayme Orr from Altoona got to watch Wednesday night's Penguins game as their hometown hero. She was nominated by her fiance. After winning, she got tickets to the game and a ride on a zamboni after the first period.

Orr went to West Point in 2001. After graduation she served as an engineer. That included a 15 month deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Her actions there earned her the Bronze Star.
Now she owns a construction company in Altoona that provides jobs for service disabled veterans and women.
