PHILADELPHIA - After last month's propane tank explosion in Philadelphia some are wondering who's keeping food trucks safe. Twelve people were hurt in the propane explosion.

With fair season in full swing food trucks and vendors are everywhere.

PennDOT checks the vehicles themselves but not the propane tanks. The Department of Labor and Industry checks tanks before they're sold, but not after. Fire inspectors check them out in other states, but not Pennsylvania. So the burden falls on the truck owners themselves.
