Family gets wheelchair ramp

ALTOONA, BLAIR COUNTY, Pa. - Service groups from all over the country are lending a helping hand to an Altoona family.

Donna Warnock said her autistic son has missed 56 days of school because he needed a wheelchair ramp to leave their house.

The Christian service group Team Effort travled to Altoona to build the ramp. Warnock said she was overwhelmed when she saw all the kids who came to help.

"I had no idea it was going to be of this magnitude," Warnock said.

The service group hopes to have the ramp done in the next two weeks.
