TIPTON, BLAIR COUNTY - Hundreds of people today came out to celebrate our country's birthday at DelGrosso's Amusement Park. It's one of the busiest days at the park all summer long. For many, it's a tradition celebrating Independence Day here. For some it was the first time.

"This is our first trip to DelGrosso's I was here as child when it was Blands Park,” Katie Grella. “We came in from Pittsburgh just to celebrate the 4th and be here as a family and were having a great time."

From the great foods, to the family fun, to the rides and of course the fireworks, Summer Thunder at DelGrosso's was the place to be.

Not only were we celebrating our nations birthday, but also this year would have been the founders of DelGrosso's Amusement Park's 100th birthday, making this years celebration extra special for the guests to enjoy.

"Beautiful day, beautiful park really happy to be here,” said Chris Grella. “Celebrating our country with everyone here,” said Katie. “It's been a great day."

Families out this on the Forth are already looking forward to next year’s celebration.
