The grand-prize Powerball jackpot is now up to $425 million, a near record setting amount.
“You can’t win if you don’t play,” said Dennis Hood, as he purchased a Powerball ticket at Sheetz. “My hope is to help my mother buy a new home, her home floods all the time.”
Indeed, Hood is one of many across the country wondering what life would be like after winning the $425 million prize. Some, however, are not quite ready to get caught up in all the excitement.
“Based on my previous experience playing the lottery, you generally have a better shot at pointing to a star in the heavens and saying ‘I’m going to buy that some day’”, said Scott Yeager while others bought tickets. “It does give people the chance for people to kick back and spend a few good moments wondering what they could do with all that wealth.”
You can watch the Powerball drawing Wednesday on WTAJ News at 11pm.
