"The first 911 call went out a few minutes before 6 o’clock this morning," said Jeff Lees, Cambria County Chief Deputy Coroner.
That's when Johnstown Police responded to the house for reports of a shooting.
When they arrived on the scene, they found one man in his early 20s, dead inside the house from at least one gun shot wound.
"The Johnstown Police, Cambria County Coroner, PA State Police are in early stages of investigation,” said Lees. “However, we are treating the death as a homicide at this point in time."
Another man was transported to Conemaugh Medical Center.
At this point in the investigation, police do not have anyone in custody.
Neighbors, who did not want to be identified, said they've lived in the area all their lives, and have watched crime creep in.
One person even moved because of the violence.
"I remember when my grandmother lived down on Cleveland Street when we grew up, nothing like this."
"It's out of hand; it's getting out of control. If you heard of a shooting in Johnstown, let alone a murder, that was big news."
An autopsy was scheduled for Sunday evening. Johnstown Police and State Police are continuing to investigate.
