Daycare shut down after child is found near road

Hollidaysburg, Blair County -  A daycare center in Hollidaysburg is shut down after police say a 21-month old child escaped a fenced in area outside and was found wandering near the road.

Police say the incident happened at the Hollidaysburg Child Development Center last Wednesday.

The center allegedly didn't know the child was missing until someone found the toddler wandering near Route 22.

Children and Youth Services says the daycare will be closed until further notice.

The PA Department of Health and local police are currently investigating the incident. The Blair County District Attorney is also looking into filing charges.
