Councilman works to beautify Patton Park

Patton, Cambria County, Pa. - A big renovation is in the works at a park in Cambria County.

A couple of years ago Borough Councilman Mark Stephens wanted to build a mini-golf course at Patton Park and thanks to area businesses, and the Community Foundation of the Alleghenies - the Friends of Patton Park was formed.

"We want to make this into something much bigger," Stephens said. "We need to fundraise to keep the pool going. We need to fundraise to fix the roof here at the pool house. And we want to take care of the beautification of Patton Park, as well."

Stephens spent his childhood at the pool and is planning some fundraisers.

His goal is to raise $50,000.
