Cheesy Hash Brown Potato Casserole

2 lb bag hash brown potatoes
2 cups grated cheddar cheese
16 0z. sour cream
1 can cream of chicken or mushroom soup
1 stick butter - cut into about 6 squares
bread crumbs, crushed crackers, or crushed potato chips

Preheat oven to 375.  Pour the hash browns into a glass baking dish.  Place butter squares on top - spread out.  In another bowl, mix sour cream and soup.  Pour over potatoes, spreading evenly.  Sprinkle cheese over top.  Place crumbs over top. 

Bake 45 minutes.

Take out, stir.  Put back in the oven for 15 minutes.
