Charges filed against Mountain League treasurer

SPRING MILLS, CENTRE COUNTY – Charges have been filed against a 68-year-old Millheim man accused of stealing thousands from the Mountain League over several years.

According to State Police at Rockview, Donald Wade Hosterman wrote checks to himself while serving as treasurer of the Mountain League between February 2010 and August 2013 totaling $22,800.

Hosterman has been charged with one felony county of Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition and one felony count of Receiving Stolen Property. Arraignment is scheduled for May 22nd at 11 a.m.

The Mountain League consists of eight Central PA schools: Bald Eagle Area, Bellefonte, Central, Clearfield, Huntingdon, Penns Valley, Philipsburg-Osceola and Tyrone.
