Borough Adds Three Police Officers

STATE COLLEGE, CENTRE COUNTY – The State College Police department announced the hiring of three new officers, one of whom comes from Lewistown.

Two of the officers, Nicole Foley and Jeremy Gibson, will begin their careers at the Allentown Police Academy February 3rd. The academy runs for 23 weeks.

The third officer, Michael Croyle, served with the Chesapeake Police Department for eight years before being hired by Lewistown Borough Police in 2013. Croyle will enter the State College Police Department 17-week Field Training Officer on February 3rd.

Mayor Elizabeth Goreham will conduct the formal swearing ceremony Friday January 31st at 11:30 a.m. in Council Chambers. The public is welcome to attend.
