Board of Trustees election voter turnout down

UNIVERSITY PARK, CENTRE COUNTY – The number of votes cast in the Penn State Board of Trustees elections are down from 2013.

As of Wednesday’s count, just over 29,200 votes had been cast for three available seats on the board. On the last day of voting in 2013, around 33,000 votes had been cast. The numbers from both 2013 and 2014 are down from 2012, in which 37,500 voters participated.

The results of the election will be announced Friday morning during the board’s meeting at the Penn Stater.
