HARRISBURG - The state Senate's government committee unanimously approved legislation Tuesday that would dramatically affect Penn State's Board of Trustees.
The bill would reduce the number of voting members on the board from 33 to 23. The move would also remove the Governor, the University President and the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Secretary from the board. The bill now moves to the full senate for consideration. A vote has yet to be scheduled.
