Baltimore Man Guilty of Local Robbery

BEDFORD, BEDFORD COUNTY – A 24-year-old Maryland man has been found guilty of Robbery, Theft, and other charges relating to a February 2013 incident.

According to court documents Brian Pope of Baltimore, who goes by the street name Brisco, pulled a gun during an illegal drug transaction and threatened three men. The jury deliberated for approximately 30 minutes before reaching a verdict.

Pope is scheduled to be sentenced March 21st. The Office of the District Attorney said they will seek a lengthy prison sentence.

Jeremy Lantz, 22 of Bedford, was held in contempt of court for his refusal to testify. Lantz, who goes by the street name Perma, was sentenced to one year in prison in addition to three years he is already serving on an unrelated drug delivery case. Additional charges against Lantz are expected.
