Bail set for man charged in traffic death

Hollidaysburg, Blair County, Pa. - A Blair County man accused in the traffic death of a pregnant woman will be allowed to post bail. Tarence Mosey faces homicide by vehicle, while DUI charges in  a traffic crash two years ago that killed Brandyn Boyd and her unborn baby.
A judge revoked Mosey's unsecured bail of $100,000  last month, after learning the defendant drank alcohol. On Friday,  Judge Elizabeth Doyle set bail at $300,000 with requirements that Mosey be under house arrest and tested weekly for alcohol use, if he's released on bail.
First Assistant District Attorney Jackie Bernard said she was satisfied with the judge's ruling."This is an alcohol-related death that we are prosecuting and that we are alleging that he committed, and so the use of alcohol has to be absolutely prohibited in every fashion and in any fashion."
Robert Donaldson, Mosey's attorney called the bail amount high, but reasonable.
Mosey's trial is expected to take place in September.
