Auto body shop working to help families in need

Altoona, Blair County, Pa. - A local auto body shop is working to help families in need this holiday season.

Professionals Auto Body in Altoona is collecting donations to help buy clothes, toys, and food for area families.

Logan Township and Altoona police are also pitching in to help.

Last year, they helped 12 families and raised over $2,000. This year, they hope to raise over $3,000 and help even more families.

“That's what we are doing, just trying to help some of the people that need help right now,” said owner Ron Perretta. “We know there's always somebody out there."

Perretta says monetary donations are best. You can drop them off at the body shop on East Pleasant Valley Boulevard until mid-December.

You can also let them know if you know of any families who may need help.
