Arrest warrant issued in Hornerstown shooting

JOHNSTOWN, CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. - Johnstown Police have issued an arrest warrant for the victim of a shooting that happened earlier this month.

The shooting happened on July 8th near the Wood Street Playground in the Hornerstown section of the city.

The victim, Tyler Cottingham, is facing simple assault charges. Police say he started the fight that led to the shooting.

Cottingham was released from the hospital today, but will be arraigned at a later date, due to his injuries.

The man accused of pulling the trigger, Derek Rose, was arrested at the scene and is facing aggravated assault charges, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for 1:00 pm tomorrow.
