BOALSBURG, CENTRE COUNTY - Kids Saturday in our area got a taste of what it'd be like, training for the military.

This year marked the fourth annual Boot Camp for Kids at the Pennsylvania Military Museum in Boalsburg.

They got to go through some drills, and learned marching techniques. Each platoon was headed by former and current service members.

"It's really fun because you get to interact with real veterans, too,” said Jake Tanner, a participant at camp. “And some of your parents can stay and watch, and watch you do it. And you just support the museum."

Instructors today said that the camp also teaches confidence, team work and discipline.
