STATE COLLEGE, CENTRE COUNTY – Centre County commissioners have reached an agreement with a local developer to acquire a portion of the former Hotel Do-De.

The agreement, worth $14,000, is for a 10x140 foot portion of the site. The construction will provide secure access between the Temple Court Building and Courthouse Annex.

“It’s a pretty heavy push for us, and that’s why we’ve been working as hard as we can and have to make sure we’ve got this wrapped up; so we can get it out to bid and get this project moving,” said Centre County Commissioner Steve Dershem.

Commissioners say construction should be complete by the end of 2014.
