160 Packets Of Heroin Found

ALTOONA - Police say they found 160 packets of heroin and a small amount of marijuana shortly after stopping a driver around 2:45 Saturday morning.

According to the Altoona Police news release, 20-year old Steven Phillip Hall Jr. was driving a 2011 Mazda 3 when he was pulled over on the 100 block of 3rd Avenue.

Police searched the car and found the packets of heroin and marijuana. The photo provided by APD shows the heroin wrapped in fast-food wrappers.

Hall is being charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, DUI and related traffic offenses.

Police say the heroin had a street value of about $4,000.

Hall was taken to Blair County Central Booking for arraignment.
