12 year-old boy arrested for shooting

Cromwell Township, Huntingdon County Pa. - A 12 year old is arrested after police say he shot a 54-year-old man.


It happened near the 19000 block of Cummins Road in Cromwell Township around 3:00 p.m.


We're told the victim, Wade Booher, called 9-11 and was taken to the Shade Gap Fire Department by Ambulance, then life flighted to UPMC Altoona.


The 12 year old suspect reportedly took the victim's ATV and drove into the woods.


State police from Huntingdon, McConnellsburg, and Lewistown all responded to that scene and began looking for the suspect.


He was found at a friend's house about 2 miles away from the crime scene and was arrested.
Police say he confessed to that crime.


We're told multiple charges will be filed, including attempted homicide, theft of a firearm, and theft of a motor vehicle.


No word yet on the exact condition of that victim.
