HERSHEY, PENNSYLVANIA - Researchers at the Penn State College of Medicine  say a substance  from pine bark is a potential source for a new  melanoma treatment.

The director of the Penn State Hershey Melanoma Center says the drug shuts down protein pathways that allow melanoma to resist current treatments.

More research must be completed before it can be tested in humans.
