More West Nile Virus Detected in Region

HARRISBURG - The West Nile Virus is being reported in another part of our region. The state announced Wednesday that a mosquito or bird tested positive for the virus in Allegheny Township, Blair County.

Previously, the only county  in our area where West Nile has been detected is Centre.
It's been found twice in Rush Township, and pesticide spraying has followed both times.

West Nile Virus can cause brain inflammation.
