Help Paying for Breast Cancer Care

TYRONE, BLAIR COUNTY - A local breast care center is offering help to women who can't afford treatment for breast cancer. Tyrone Hospital's Breast Cancer and Women's Health Institute has announced a voucher program,for patients without health insurance or  who are under-insured.

The effort will be completely funded through charitable donations. Girls' Night Out Altoona, which raises money to support breast health providers, is donating $5500 dollars in start-up money.

To see if you're eligible for the program, you need to complete and submit a BCWHI Voucher Program application.  Forms are available in the literature rack in the main lobby at Tyrone Hospital, at the BCWHI office located at 154 Hospital Drive, Suite 5 in Tyrone, Pa and on the BCWHI web page.
