Researchers in Britain want to know what effect talking and texting may have on a child's developing brain. So for three years, they're tracking the cell phone habits of about 3,000 students by installing an app on their phones.
The app measures how long kids talk, text and surf the internet. Then researchers test them on attention and memory. The British government commissioned the study which also looks at laptops, tablets and wireless internet.
