Health officials are promoting cleaner air in apartment buildings throughout Pennsylvania. State Health Secretary Michael Wolf wants to see multi-unit housing properties incorporate smoke free policies.
He says 38 counties, across the commonwealth, have adopted smoke-free policies. This week Secretary Wolf highlighted a smoke-free policy adopted the first of the year by the Sunbury Housing Authority.
It bans smoking in apartments as well as in common areas by residents and guests. Secretary Wolf says the goal is to encourage all multi-unit housing properties to get on board.
