After a fairly warm afternoon yesterday, we will be stepping down into a much cooler weather pattern as the weekend approaches. There are clouds around this morning and there will be a few showers and thunderstorms around today as a weak upper-level disturbance moves through. Much colder air aloft will surge in late today and into the day for tomorrow, which will eventually translate to cooler temperatures here at the surface. Today will still be a mild day, with highs near 80. However, tomorrow will be much cooler with highs only reaching the upper 60s in some spots. There will be a few more showers around tomorrow and perhaps a thunderstorm. Saturday will bring more of the same, with highs about 10 degrees below average for this time of year. There will be some passing showers around both days of the weekend, but much of the time will remain dry. It will finally start to warm up a bit into early next week with highs back into the lower 80s. Even so, no bouts with hot weather are in the forecast through the end of next week.
