HeartSmart Day helps raise awareness of Heart Disease and Stroke in Blair, Bedford, and Cambria Counties, as well as in surrounding counties through media publicity and in-store awareness. On behalf of Giant Eagle we help to educate the community on various programs and resources of the American Heart Association as well as help raise funds to support these programs. This year’s event will have an extra focus on young children as well as high school and college age students – in addition to events and focuses for adults and the elderly.

From May 8th through May 21st your $.10 Fuel Perk donation will result in Giant Eagle making

Healthy Kids Corner where kids can learn and have fun at the same time. There will be a number of interactive children’s games to play as well as interactive information, kid friendly recipes plus kids can get their pictures taken with their favorite area mascot like Steamer, Diesel Dawg, Blair Mill Outlet Remnant Rugs and Iggie the Eagle…just to name a few.*
