Jacob Kaucher joins WTAJ as its State College-based sports reporter. Jacob comes to central Pennsylvania after two years as sports director at KMOT in Minot, North Dakota. where he primarily covered college and high school sports. Jacob also reported and anchored breaking news coverage of Minot's historic flood of 2011.
A native of Reading, Pa., Jacob graduated from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism in Evanston, Ill. He was part of a staff that won the NATAS College Emmy for "Best Newscast" in the nation while working for the student-produced show SportsNight.
Jacob is excited to cover Penn State sports for WTAJ's Nittany Nation as well as taking in area high school games and the State College Spikes.
In his free time, Jacob enjoys working out, reading, and watching sports. He also knows his way around the kitchen.
